Date Your Wife: Our "Semi"-anniversary!

The Date: Last week I was reading a post from The Generous Husband on giving out-of-the-box gifts to your wife - I liked one of them so much that I thought I would do it for this weekend's date.  The best part is that all of this is a secret to my wife. Tomorrow we will be celebrating our 4.5 year "semi"-anniversary!

To set up the date I decided to send her a letter in the mail from a "secret admirer."  I knew that she would know it was me, but I didn't care, because I knew she would love it.  In the letter I told her to meet at Denny's for breakfast on Saturday morning (Going out to breakfast is one of her favorite dates). During breakfast I am giving her a Happy Anniversary card!  I also bought her a book she's been wanting to read, The Hunger Games.  As a gift-languaged woman, she will love received a wrapped gift in the public (another great suggestion from the Generous Husband).

The Challenge: Find something unique to celebrate and surprise your wife with!  You're wife will love that you thought so much to come up with an excuse to celebrate your love.  Also, if she is a gift love-language woman, try public gift giving.  I haven't done much of it, but I know my wife will love it tomorrow! Whatever you decide to do, just make sure that you date your wife! Let me know your date plans for this weekend in the comments!

Cost: About $15 in preparation (i.e. card, gift, etc) and $15 for breakfast, not too bad!

Update: We had such a great time!  Our son was there with us, but we still had a great date.  She opened her card and present in the restaurant and was so surprised that I would celebrate our "semi"-anniversary!  She was impressed with my thoughtfulness and creativity and we had a great breakfast together!
