The Date: After having lived in Seattle for most of my life I have not yet visited Portland! So we decided we would make a little weekend trip South to Portland! Its only a 3 hour drive, so hopefully our 2.5 yo will be able to handle it ok. I am really looking forward to our little trip. We have done a lot of research and even found some fun things to do in and near the city.
First and foremost, we knew we had to find a hotel with an indoor pool. Our son took his first swimming lessons over the Summer, and absolutely loves the water. I imagine we will be spending a lot of time there. Some other things I am looking forward to is going out to eat with my family, maybe Portland's Children's Museum, a mall or two, and overall just spending quality time with my family! If the weather holds up we might even make a trip to the Oregon Zoo!
