For the past few weeks, we have been teaching our son to pray. He's not even 2.5 years old, so it has been just us praying and him repeating our prayer. But last night, for the first time ever, he said a prayer ALL BY HIMSELF!
It was a very touching prayer, and pretty hilarious too. We learned that teaching him how to pray at the same time we are potty training him leads to some very funny moments! ...you'll understand what I mean when you read the full text of his prayer...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you day
Thank you for Mommy and Daddy
Thank you for Grandma
Thank You for sitting and pushing out poo-poo
Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!
That was his prayer. Awesome. He was smiling from ear to ear and was so proud of himself for doing it all by himself! ...and we stopped laughing gave him lots of praise and it was a great family moment!
