That being said, if you know of someone who you would consider a "Better Husband" or "Better Father," please send me an e-mail and let me know about them (eric[at]betterhusbandsandfathers.com), and I might just dedicate a post to them and share their story.
Our first Better Husband is Andy. What makes Andy a better husband is his blog - Why I love Tina. You see, Tina is his wife, and the blog is written directly to her. Want to know the best part? She has no idea. Andy has been blogging since June and each post is a reason why he loves his wife. So, why does he do it?...
"This is my secret way of praising the little things she does. Maybe it’ll be an anniversary present: I’ll send her a link in a few months or years."Wow. I told my wife about Andy's project and her response was probably like most women reading this - "ahhhhhhh." I've also had the opportunity to exchange e-mails with Andy and something else he mentioned to me was that his blog also acts as a constant reminder that "she's God's gift to me, the most intimate gift I can get."
If that doesn't make you want to be a better husband to your wife, I don't know what will. The good news is, you can be! You could even do something similar. It doesn't have to be a blog, but if you endeavor on a long-term project simply because you want to show your wife how much you lover her, you will be a better husband.
What's the most thoughtful gift you've given your wife? any ideas for projects or ways we can all be better husbands? please share in the comments!
