"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."What a great verse!! I also enjoy this verse (John 15:5), which has the same message -
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."If we want to accomplish anything good in our lives, it is only through Christ that it will happen. When we serve him and act in his name, then he will bless us and bless our undertaking. For the purposes of this blog, for example, Christ will help us be a Better Husband and Father. As I've stated on this blog before, God expects us to be great husbands and fathers, and as with anything he expects of us, he will support us and 'strengthen' us.
Action Item: If you feel there is something holding you back from being a better husband and/or father, something that seems too hard to overcome (i.e. pornography, gambling, anger, etc..) just remember "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." He wants you to be a great husband to your wife, and an awesome daddy to your kids - Seek his help and you will be surprised at the power that you have to make the needed changes in your life.
