Do You Hide Spending From Your Wife?

I recently came across an article which referred to a survey that concluded that 80% of people spend money that their spouse doesn't know about. I couldn't believe this number.... really? 80%?  Needless to say, if you want to be a better husband, don't spend money behind your wife's back!

Luckily my wife and I have never really had much of an issue with "unauthorized" purchases.  I think this is true for a couple of reasons: 1) We don't have enough money to spend behind each others back 2) We share bank accounts and credit card accounts 3) We have an open and honest relationship! Also, due to the fact that we are very limited in our funds right now, I would say that If I wanted to spend over $10, I would probably mention it to her (This number will vary depending on each couple specific circumstances, but the important thing is that you communicate what the expectation is).

Do you spend money behind your wife's back? Would she notice? or care?
At what dollar value, do you discuss purchases with your wife?
Has this been a problem in your marriage?
