Date Your Wife: Bringing Dinner Home

The Date: When you are dating your wife it is important to remember that your dates don't always have to be creative, unique, or extravagant. That being said, neither do my Date Your Wife posts! ...now that I have my excuses out of the way, this week's date is picking up food from a restaurant and eating it at home. There are a couple of things you need to know about it though.

First, my pregnant wife has been instruction to take it easy; this is somewhat limiting.  Second, we won a gift certificate for a local Chinese restaurant, so we'll use that! Third, it's fun to eat at (or get food from) places you don't eat much. Its so easy to keep going to the same restaurants over and over again, we went to this Chinese restaurant once before, it's about time we go back. Forth, we don't get to eat our much, so whenever we don't have to cook it's a treat!

The Challenge: Dinner is the classic fall-back date plan, and there's nothing wrong with it! Like I mentioned above, you can add a little excitement by going to a new place or somewhere you haven't been for a while.  You could eat in, out, or anywhere else just don't forget the great conversations while you eat.  Whatever you decide to do, just make sure that you date your wife! Let me know your date plans for this weekend in the comments!

The Cost: We won a $20 gift certificate at the National Night out a couple weeks ago, so it will be very inexpensive for us; $5-10.

Update: This ended up being a pretty good date.  It was so nice not to have to worry about what to make for dinner!  We got some Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mongolian Chicken, unfortunately the food wasn't as good as I would have hoped (and the fortune cookies were stale), but it didn't matter much to me, I'm not picky.  Since we didn't have to cook or clean up afterward it gave us more time to spend together; and even though my son was still up and with us, it was still quality time and a fun "date."
