Date Your Wife: Baseball Game

The Date: Yesterday, I was approached with a pair of tickets to go down to Safeco Field and watch the Texas Rangers take on my Mariners.  Naturally I took the tickets and we went to enjoy the game.  Part of what made this date special is that it was spontaneous!  When you are married and especially when you have kids, all of the spontaneity that you once had is no more. We are lucky to have both sets of parents nearby, which allows us to do things like this, so Grandma came over and off we went.

We actually ended up with quite a while to talk to each other too, from a combination of traffic and long walk to the stadium (long walk = free parking).  The game itself wasn't too exciting, my Mariner's lost 6-0.  Even though they lost, we had great seats and it was quality time spent with a quality woman.

The Challenge: Anywhere you live, odds are there is some sort of sporting event you can go to.  That being said, there may be some wives out there who do not enjoy going to games as much as mine does (in limited frequency).  If this is the case, be spontaneous and do something she would enjoy.  Maybe theater, a concert, etc... but whatever you do, just make sure that you date your wife!  and as always, Let me know your date plans for this weekend in the comments!

The Cost: I was given the tickets and was able to find free parking, so the only cost was probably about $15 for snacks and a drink!
